As of lately I'm starting to get annoyed with my cellphone insurance carrier.

Let me explain, I bought 2 years ago a LG dare. I lost it while at work last year, so I had the MRS call the insurance carrier for my Phone to get me a replacement.  " I was currently working out of state and  had no access to the insurance carriers number much less a phone to call them, I had to borrow a co workers phone to Call the Mrs" they tell her the Dare was discontinued and told her I...

Ok here it is one month and 1 day since I got my LG Dare. It was my birthday present. I have been so far impressed with it as a whole. But there are a few things they could do better on.

I love the way it looks, a nice elegant phone..

The desktop is customizable in the essence, You can Drag and drop Icons on to the desktop, set it to use a hide away dock or Just have all icons hidden till you press on the desktop.. (I use hidden). You also have a decent range of icons to choose from for th...

It really hit me today when reading a postmortem sign written by my 6 yo after his older sister broke his boogie board. "Here lies terminatorII, Because my sister BSOD it."  I couldnt help but chuckle to see him use A PC term more befittingly.

Any one else noticing the trend toward common PC terms being incorporated in to daily conversation? Or have any stories about comical use of PC terms?

As i sit here looking at the charred remains of what was once my wifes work pc ( i had to bring it home to work
on) I realize that maybe i would share a few of the "no no's" ive seen in pc building. Since this IS a manufactured pc by a big Co. I will state that these no no's apply to all pc builders not just "joe blow" down the lane...

#1. No rubberbands... the pc im currently at task of trying to see if is worth stripping for parts, has been the culprit of these little stretchy "PC killers...

I recently had my home button stop working. I have barely had my ipod 4th gen over a year and took great lengths to take excellent care of it, Never dropped it etc. I thought I had possibly just wore it out and would need to upgrade..

After some research I found out that it was not broken but merely that a tiny and I mean tiny shim placed between the internal switch and the one we push fell off. This tiny little plastic shim is glued on to the top of the internal switch and after so long fall...

Have you seen those blazeing ads or emails with "win a iPod""your IBM laptop is wating to be shipped"?? Ive seen these in my inbox for quite a while and decided to do some snooping. If you think the ad sounds too good to be true.. it probably is .Read the Fine Print .. You either have to buy lots of expensive software/services,Have to follow complicated rules or have to get eight or so of your friends to buy/sign up a service. Even tho many may be legit, most are either going to cost you or y...

Have you ever had to pitch a hdd after getting a nasty virus/or after wipeing the hdd because it would not boot?. I came pretty close. After dancing around, pulling my hair and useing a few rather choice words.. i decided to do some research. I found that theres many boot viruses and not all are found by anitvirus software. Some MBR or boot sector viruses can hide in empty areas of the hdd and act like damaged sectors(i found one of these sneaky lil buggers in one of my laptops). a Scandis...
